The open plan living and dining area of Bellavista Cottage is the centre of the home. The uniquely designed feature corner windows offer uninterupted sea and cityscape views. From the dining room there is direct access to the fifty square metre garden equiped with a barbeque and hammock.

This week the Bicentenary Regata for big sailing ships visited the port of Valparaíso, spectacular! There were a dutch and a portuguese boat from Europe, and 9 more from Latinamercan countries, you would have enjoyed this very much. Hopefully until soon, kindest regards Bart
My wife and I staying in
My wife and I staying in Bellavista cottage for a week and thoughly enjoyed our stay there. Bart's buiilding is very conveniently placed to explore Valparaiso, it is a short (steep) decent into the main square of the city centre, all is a few minutes walk away, including a full sized super market.It is in a safe area and we were totally at ease walking around at night. The views are superb, bring your binoculars as there is plenty of shipping movement to observe.This city is a joy to explore, it is full of hidden architechual gems and our week went by too quickly. Bellavista Cottage is spacious but the real gem is Bart himself, he's very entertaining company and a good English speaker, this in a city where this is not common...and very helpfull if you are planning futher movements.We arrived three weeks after the major earthquake in the south of Chile but in Valparaiso this did not impact upon us at all.
Bart does deliver the "Valparaiso Experience", the greatest compliment my wife and I can pass is to say that when we are next there we will want to stay with him again.

Bellavista Cottage is an
Bellavista Cottage is an amazing place to stay! We stayed for 7 nights with 2 young children and highly recommend it for families. The location is great, the view is superb, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We all enjoyed wandering through the streets and riding up and down on the ‘ascensores’. Bart is very friendly as well as knowledgeable. As per his recommendation, the restaurant "Los Portenos" is a fantastic place to eat. The food was great and they loved the children. Also, a visit to the fish market "Los Portales" is highly recommended - pick up some fresh seafood, bring it back and have a feast on the patio overlooking the wonderful vista! We will encourage our friends to stay here, and hope to return in the future.
